Counseling

Vision

Students who experience Higley High’s Comprehensive School Counseling Program will be responsible, culturally aware, and productive members of society whom positively impact our world.

Mission

The focus of the counseling department is for all students to have academic success, college & career readiness, and personal/social growth that promotes the well-being of the individual. By collaborating with administration, staff, students, parents, and the community to carry out these goals, our students become responsible healthy citizens ready to compete in an ever-changing world.

2025-2026 Schedules

Schedules will be available via StudentVue/ParentVue starting on Tuesday, July 8th.  To request changes, please use the QR code that will be made available on the HHS Counseling page at 8:00am on July 8th.  To streamline the process, we kindly ask that you do not email your assigned counselor – only submissions through the QR code will be reviewed.

Schedules changes may be requested if:

1.        You are missing a required core class for your grade level

2.        There is a gap in your schedule (missing a period)

3.        A duplicate class appears on your schedule

4.        You have already completed and received credit for an assigned course

Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate requests for lunch, teacher, or period changes.

We understand student preferences and are committed to maintaining a campus filled with Higley Qualified Instructional Leaders dedicated to supporting your learning experience.  Classes are carefully structed to ensure optimal student-teacher ratios, and while we will do our best to honor your request, please be aware that some changes may not be possible.

Counselors will process corrections in the order they are received, and each request will receive a response regarding whether the adjustment can be made.  If you request a change and it can be honored, there is a possibility that your entire schedule may be updated.  Once the change is made, the schedule becomes final, and any further requests for adjustments will not be accommodated.

Thank you for your cooperation, and we look forward to a great school year ahead.
