亚利桑那州立大学女工程师协会在Higley高中激励未来的工程师

Higley高中 recently welcomed representatives from Arizona State University (ASU) 女工程师学会 (SWE) for an inspiring panel and roundtable discussion aimed at empowering future engineers.

Zoe Amtsfield, K-12 Outreach Director for ASU’s SWE Chapter, emphasized the importance of connection and mentorship.

“Above all, if they can get one of their questions answered, that’s my goal,” she said. “I know when I was in high school, I had a lot of questions, and I still do, just about the future and what it might look like. College is very much an unknown variable, especially when you’re in high school. I’m hoping this serves as a mentor experience in more ways than just academically.”

The event also highlighted the impact of Higley高中’s own 职业与技术教育 (CTE) Engineering program, which helps students explore STEM fields and build foundational skills. Abbie Tremp, a 2023 HHS graduate and current ASU Mechanical Engineering student, reflected on her experience: “I was in the Engineering program and Robotics at Higley高中. I think the Robotics program really helped me understand what engineering was.”

With robust CTE项目 across 希格利联合学区, students are empowered to discover their passions, build essential skills, and prepare for Limitless Opportunities in college, careers, and beyond.
