The inaugural “Shop with a Police Officer” event brought together local law enforcement officers and students in need, for a morning of back-to-school shopping and connection. 工作人员陪同学生穿过过道，帮助他们挑选必需品、衣服等。 每位学生都能花费超过200美元，这要归功于SRP的慷慨捐赠，以及主办商店塔吉特（Target）的支持。

Amanda Padilla’s fourth grader attended the event, happily riding on the cart while an officer pushed.

“It’s good for the kids, to open their eyes and see them in a different perspective, helping giving back to the community,” said Padilla. 作为三个孩子的母亲，她说这次购物之旅帮了很大的忙。
