Higley High School Assistant Principal Brian Banach will be taking the leadership role of Principal starting in the 2025-26 School Year. This decision comes after the school’s current principal Alan Fields received a promotion to Executive Director of Secondary and Athletics.

Brian Banach is an experienced educator originally from Chicago, Illinois. After earning his degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, he moved to Arizona in 2009 and has since served in both teaching and administrative roles. With 13 years of classroom experience and six years in school leadership, including Assistant Principal of Curriculum and Instruction for Higley High. Banach brings a strong commitment to academic excellence and student success.

“Our campus is recognized as a high-performing example of excellence in the East Valley, and I intend to make sure it remains so, as we continue to embrace every challenge and push ourselves and our students to new heights,” said Banach. “Together, we will ensure that every student who enters our classrooms is provided with the best academic, athletic, and extracurricular experience that they and their families deserve.”
