Isabelle Brice from Williams Field High School and Elise Miner from Higley High School have been chosen as two of the five 2025 Youth Ambassadors for Gilbert Sister Cities. Their selection followed a six-month process of essays, interviews, community engagement, and leadership clinics.

Founded in 1998, Gilbert Sister Cities promotes international understanding through cultural, educational, trade, and sports programs. In June, Isabelle and Elise will spend three weeks with host families in Antrim-Newtownabbey, Northern Ireland, before returning in July to welcome visiting ambassadors to Gilbert.

Isabelle is actively involved in Key Club, Hiking Club, Earth Conservation Club, DECA, and AFJROTC and has served on Gilbert’s Mayor’s Youth Advisory Committee and the Community Engagement Task Force. Elise competes in varsity cross country and track, is a Best Buddies Club member, and studies cosmetology at EVIT. She also volunteers as a Church Chorister and enjoys playing music and pickleball.

Before traveling, the ambassadors participated in the Gilbert Global Village Festival. After returning, they will engage in community events, including the Gilbert Days Parade, school visits, and youth programs, sharing their experiences and mentoring future candidates.

Isabelle and Elise exemplify the qualities and attributes of our Portrait of a Graduate, truly embodying the pillar of a Responsible Citizen through their integrity, global awareness, and community engagement.
