Higley Unified School District proudly celebrates the Class of 2025, a remarkable group of graduates who have demonstrated excellence in academics, athletics, fine arts, leadership, and service, qualities that reflect our district’s Portrait of a Graduate initiative.
Among the 1,083 graduates in this class, many have earned prestigious academic distinctions. Seventeen students received the Arts Diploma Seal for their dedication to creative excellence, while 71 graduates earned the Seal of Biliteracy, demonstrating advanced proficiency in multiple languages. One student was awarded the Diploma Seal in Personal Finance, highlighting their commitment to financial literacy.
Higley High School proudly named Carson Wengert as Valedictorian for the Class of 2025. Carson graduates with a 5.0 GPA and $322,660 in scholarships. He will attend Caltech to study Astrophysics with a minor in Aerospace Engineering.
At Williams Field High School, Jason Lakin was named Valedictorian and served as their Student Commencement Speaker. Graduating with a 4.79 GPA, Jason has received scholarship offers from NAU, SUU, and BYU–Idaho. He plans to serve a mission in New York City before attending BYU to study Business Management.
This class earned over $30 million in scholarships and obtained more than 500 industry certifications through the district’s Career and Technical Education program, reflecting both academic excellence and career readiness.
As they take the next step toward higher education, careers, military service, and personal aspirations, we are confident they are prepared for limitless opportunities. Congratulations, Class of 2025!
